Exedy Flywheels for racing performance cars are made of Chrome-Molybdenum steel plate with forged periphery. The special material is anti-corrosive and highly tensile in high temperature range. The specific design is targeted to decrease weight, inertia which improves engine’s response. Their design incorporates special features for better airflow which cools down the clutch system at very high temperature. The gear teeth in the flywheel ring is very distinctly ‘milled’ unlike the pressed teeth of aluminium flywheels which is disadvantageous for increasing risk of separating from flywheels.
